He holds a master of arts in religion and pastoral ministry and has had a distinguished career as a music director, cantor, educator and pastoral minister in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. A frequent collaborator with Janet Vogt Zeitler, Mark is the composer of many songs and hymns that are used at schools and parishes across the country. His collections with Janet Vogt include Silent Holy Night, God Shines on You, Behold the Lamb, We Shall Prepare, Age to Age, and Enter the Journey Volumes 1 and 2, as well as the Mass setting Mass of the Little Flower. In addition to his work with OCP, Mark has been published by GIA, Lorenz and the St. Anthony Messenger Press.

Religious Education Congress (RECongress) and the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) National and Regional Conventions. In 2005, Mark was honored as Music Educator of the Year by the NPM.

In addition to his religious writing and composing, he has co-written 12 musicals published by Theatrical Rights Worldwide and Concord Theatricals (Rodgers and Hammerstein) that continue to play throughout the United States and internationally. Mark has garnered awards and recognition for his writing and composing of works for theatre, being nominated for an Ohio Governor’s Award for the Arts and recognized as one of the 100 most influential artists in the last 100 years in the City of Cincinnati. Grateful for his success in music, Mark still considers his best productions to be his children, Emily and Chris.
