Bio
Mark Friedman has been a liturgical minister for almost thirty years. He has a BS in Education and an MA in Pastoral Ministry and Religion and has been active in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati as a Music, Director, Cantor, Pastoral Associate and educator. A frequent collaborator with Janet Vogt, Mark is the composer of many songs and recordings for Oregon Catholic Press that are used across the country and overseas - and has music published with GIA Publications, Lorenz, and St. Anthony Messenger Press, as well. He has presented workshops, concerts and given keynotes at conventions around the country, most notably for the National Association of Pastoral Musicians (NPM), the L.A. Religious Education Congress, the NCEA National and Regional Conventions, and many others. He was honored in 2005 as Music Educator of the Year by the NPM, and has garnered awards and recognition for his writing and composing for the theatre which is performed globally and published in New York City. True to his roots, however, Mark is currently Music Director at St. John Fisher Parish in Cincinnati, a position he has held for almost twenty years.
