Liturgies and rituals tell a story to young people—the story of our faith. Behold the Lamb can help kids—from elementary to high school—to take ownership of their faith by involving them in liturgical celebrations. This collection includes a variety of songs that may be used during Lent and Easter, with some songs that are especially appropriate for Holy Week and the Triduum.
The readings in the songbook can greatly enhance the Liturgy of the Word when used during the Eucharistic liturgy. They may also be used as meditative and reflective readings during prayer services, ritual celebrations and in the classroom. When combined, the music and readings could create a lovely Lenten/Easter prayer service or choral program, a prayerful, joyful and powerful vehicle to bring our redemption story to life and allow it to become a part of our children’s faith journeys.
These upbeat songs are complemented by easy-to-learn movements that appear in the choreography book by Donna Anderle and can be used year-round.
