This assembly song is a plea to a loving and merciful God and a call to share our own gifts to enhance the lives of others. What starts as a simple accompanied melody grows into a richer texture befitting the trajectory of the text. Themes of trust and hope are embedded in each of the four verses. Scored for choirs of modest means, this effective unison setting has a keyboard accompaniment throughout, a solo instrument part for verse 3 and a descant for verse 4.
