As a Light
This was commissioned as a piece for sending-forth to live the Gospel as “the Light of Christ.” It is straightforward with energy both in accompaniment and singing. It is written in a range that is vocally comfortable for singers of all ages, especially children and teens. While you can successfully accompany this with minimal resources, the more instruments, the better. While this was intended to be used for dismissal at liturgy, it could be used during or after Communion, especially for sacramental celebrations.
