Emmanuel
“Emmanuel” is a meditative setting for choir and assembly, in the form of a sung mantra. It includes a variety of textures, colors, and options for repetition. After the mantra’s first statement by the cantor, it may be repeated by choir and/or assembly. A contrasting C section for a cappella choir (mantra 3) provides a respite for the assembly. Organ and solo instrument parts (included) provide musical color by introducing the mantra and providing an interlude between the a cappella section and the final mantra.
