The energetic and captivating title piece, “Psalm 113: Blessed Be the Name of the Lord/Salmo 113 (112): Bendito Sea el Nombre del Señor,” fuses classical (choir and descant) and rock (electric guitar) elements to create a powerful sound that will keep every listener engaged at the Thanksgiving Day Mass. One of two slower pieces on the collection, “Psalm 22: My God, My God/Salmo 22 (21) Dios Mío, Dios Mío,” starts softly with the unaccompanied piano, followed by the delicate strings and a strong solo male voice, finally culminating with the full choir and instrumentation. With this piece, Lourdes has exquisitely captured the essence of the Good Friday celebration.
