Following a 2003 directive from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), OCP’s Spanish and bilingual missals have used the readings from the Mexican lectionary, and the psalms and Gospel Acclamations from Spain found in the Leccionario: Edición Hispanoamericana. Our current understanding from the USCCB is that in 5 to 10 years there will be a Spanish-language lectionary for the United States. Until then, we will continue to follow the directives of the USCCB.
