Ave Verum Corpus
This text affirming our Catholic belief in Jesus’ real presence in the Eucharist is always appropriate in liturgy, particularly after Communion. Crandal skillfully brings in elements of the ancient but with a current choral sound. Splashes of dissonance are perfectly balanced with unisons, and broad, opulent choral writing.
