St. Teresa’s Prayer

Honoré’s a cappella SATB setting of the well-known prayer of St. Teresa de Ávila is great to sing anytime. It matches his SSA setting (Ed. 30121267) but with the addition of a more independent, texturally foundational bass voice. In fact, both editions can be sung together seamlessly. This choral work is short enough for multiple uses throughout liturgies (i.e. prelude, Presentation and Preparation of the Gifts, Communion, hymn of praise, or even—in special circumstances—a sending forth), especially those liturgies where themes of discipleship and mission are highlighted.
