Using 1 Corinthians as inspiration, this assembly song for Communion is especially appropriate during the Easter season. It is scored for SATB chorus, keyboard, and guitar, though voiced in such a way that the sopranos always carry the melody and the rest of the choir provides harmonic support, often in an echo-like or call-and-response fashion. The modal harmonic scheme of the verse provides a contrast to the straightforward diatonic scheme of the refrain.
