The collection includes "Malo, Malo, Thanks Be to God," one of Jesse's most popular compositions. This catchy, multilingual song of gratitude was selected to appear on Light of the World, the official CD of World Youth Day 2002. "No Longer the Stranger," a dreamy, swaying ballad, is another highlight. Marked by shimmering percussion and bird calls, "Agua Viva" closes the album with a hush.
Backed by a multilingual choir and folk percussion instruments
Jesse shares the lead vocals with Lidia Carlos Reynes on most tracks, accompanied by the Vast Assembly Singers, a large multilingual choir. The music also features impressive array of folk percussion instruments, which adds to the earthy, international flavor: rain sticks, chajchas, blocks, caixixi, kjembe, ganza, doumbek, finger cymbals, tambourine and others.

Besides the Mass setting and five multi-purpose songs, the recording includes a helpful pronunciation guide. Word by word, Jesse slowly and carefully explains and models the correct pronunciation for many of the foreign terms.
