The inspiration behind Mass of Christ the Savior/Misa Cristo Salvador

The inspiration of bilingual Mass Christ the Savior

Faith communities of different cultures and languages can enter more deeply in worship together with the English, Spanish and bilingual edition of Dan Schutte's beloved Mass setting, Mass of Christ the Savior. The Spanish language has been masterfully set to the original music by Jaime Cortez, in accordance with the changes to the Misal Romano, Third Typical Edition.

In addition to serving the needs of a traditional Mass, this edition includes new features that make it easily adaptable to a variety of liturgical needs. These settings invite multicultural parishes to enter more deeply into the mystery of Christ with each celebration. It really is an exciting time for the Church in the U.S.

Hear from the composers about the inspiration for Mass of Christ the Savior/Misa Cristo Salvador.

“And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim.” – Acts 2:4
