OCP Parish Grant applications are open for 2024

OCP Parish Grant applications are now open for 2024! The OCP Parish Grants Program provides direct financial assistance to parishes seeking to enhance the worship experience of their communities, develop and reinforce liturgical and music ministries, create and strengthen multicultural ministries, and expand educational and charitable outreach. The program was created by OCP’s board of directors to support American parishes and it has successfully donated more than $3.45 million since 2001.

“OCP’s Parish Grants program has expanded to include Catholic parishes in U.S. territories like Guam, as well as campus ministry centers at universities,” said OCP publisher Wade Wisler. “Whether your church needs to make repairs to a piano or organ, purchase a new sound system or hymnals, or has other needs related to music and liturgy, OCP can help. Our mission is to serve and support all communities striving to worship God in the Mass with beauty and reverence. And our Parish Grants program is one of the best and most practical ways we do that.”

Parish Grants are commonly used to:

  • Purchase music, hymnals and other worship materials
  • Improve multicultural ministries with bilingual resources and additional training
  • Provide digital resources to support liturgy preparation
  • Maintenance, repairs and replacement of musical instruments, equipment and facilities
  • Continuing education through liturgical conference and workshops

Hundreds of parishes and college campus ministries in the United States and territories have benefited from these grants. St. Vincent Catholic Church in Connell, Washington, used a grant to launch a new children’s Mass at their parish, purchasing guitars, stands and music for their children’s ministry. St. Leo the Great Church in Cincinnati, Ohio, used a grant to purchase updated music for the church. St. Leo’s development director shared, “The new music will not only provide a fresh and engaging musical experience for our choir but will also contribute to the vibrancy of our liturgical celebrations. We believe that this investment will greatly enrich the worship experience for our entire community, fostering a deeper connection with the divine through the power of music.”
