Webinar: Learn How to Use Antiphons and Chant in the Liturgy

Webinar: Learn How to Use Antiphons and Chant in the Liturgy

Chant and antiphons are unfamiliar to many people today. But these forms of sung
prayer have powerful historical and liturgical value and purpose. Get the training you
need to successfully incorporate more of these traditional practices into your community’s
worship.

In this 60-minute webinar:

  • How to use antiphons
  • Tips for more beautiful execution of chant
  • Understanding the Meinrad Psalm tones
  • Chants every choir should know

In the Roman Catholic Mass, antiphonal chants accompany liturgical actions, like the entrance of the officiant, the collection of offerings, or the distribution of sanctified bread and wine. Antiphonal singing encompasses any call-and-response sung prayer. This responsive singing is often done alternately by the choir or cantor and the congregation, but sometimes is done entirely by the people or by the choir alone. Learn more in the webinar!
