Entrance and Communion Antiphons from composer Christopher Walker

If you don’t already include them, antiphons are a wonderful addition to any music ministry. Encouraging full and active participation in the liturgy, modern arrangements of the Entrance and Communion antiphons will draw attention to these short, beautiful texts that help us to better understand their liturgical moment and the readings the accompany in the liturgy.

Composer Christopher Walker offers a beautiful collection of choral arrangements for both Entrance and Communion Antiphons. Titled Entrance Antiphons for SATB Choir and Communion Antiphons for SATB Choir, each resource comes in two volumes: one for Seasons, Solemnities and Feasts, and one for Sundays in Ordinary Time.

With a lot of stylistic diversity, difficulty levels and options to choose from, this is a great resource for all kinds of choirs, and choirs with room to grow. It’s also very affordable, making it another great option for expanding your choir’s repertoire for the whole Church year on a budget.
