Bio
A native of Philadelphia, Laurence Rosania holds a bachelor’s degree in music from Yale University and a master’s degree in religion and spirituality from Fordham University. Having resided in both Trappist and Zen Buddhist monasteries, his home for many years was New York City where he moved to work with Dorothy Day and the Catholic Worker. Today he serves as Director of Liturgy and Music at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA.
Laurence’s popular compositions appear in Breaking Bread, Glory and Praise and the Vietnamese hymnal Thanh Ca Dan Chua. His collection Works of the Heart includes collaborations with OCP composers Jaime Cortez and Luke Mayernik and a bilingual version of “The Supper of the Lord/La Cena del Señor.”
Laurence performs and conducts music in New York.
