Bio

Daniel Partridge is the editorial manager at OCP, where he has worked since 2012. Working at OCP has given him the opportunity to serve the Church in a way he hadn’t really planned on while earning his music degrees, but he has found it extremely gratifying: helping OCP’s composers present their music in the best possible way and getting that music to our customers to enhance their worship is truly a privilege.

Daniel is also a professional French horn player and instructor. He is the principal horn of both Symphony Tacoma and the Vancouver (WA) Symphony Orchestra; he is also a member of two chamber music groups, Chameleon Winds and the Rose City Brass Quintet. Since 2016, he has been the horn instructor at Portland State University. You can hear him on OCP’s recordings of music by Christopher Walker, Dan Schutte, Ricky Manalo, Luke Rosen, Rick Modlin, and many others. Over the years, Daniel has also been active in Catholic music ministry and faith formation for children.

Daniel earned a PhD in music theory from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY) and a dual master’s degree in music theory and French horn performance from the Mannes College of Music. A native Northwesterner, he received his Bachelor of Music at the University of Puget Sound.
