Qué Alegría/I Rejoiced is Jaime's uplifting collection written for a multicultural celebration of Lent, Holy Week and the Easter season. From samba and mariachi to slow bolero and chant, Qué Alegría/I Rejoiced can bring your community together with upbeat and accessible bilingual songs.
This is an incredibly versatile collection, with instrumentation for piano, guitar, flute, violin, horns and percussion. The songs vary in tempo and style, but all are "singable," original melodies that will involve and inspire English and Spanish speakers alike. It includes the theme songs from the 1997 and 1998 Los Angeles Religious Education Congresses.
This collection is a great value because, though it is designed for bilingual liturgies, most of the songs can be easily modified for English or Spanish liturgies. That's like getting two albums for the price of one!
